I really dont like hypo just because of how risky it is, since we cant be sure of the setup. Instead i would prefer the cop to just keep quiet until he gets a mafia reveal (or 2 if he's daring). This means we dont have to worry about tons of fake cop claims and focus on core scumhunting and also not worry about roleblocker either in the early stages.

Hypo is certainly not a bad strategy. It would be a fine move. However, it's rather hard to scumhunt when only one person has made a quality post. So yeah.

I think Leona's contributions so far have been more than most of the others and of better quality as well, so I don't think she should be the day 1 lynch from what has happened so far. Still questioning who should be, I'd love more activity first.

Yeah let's avoid hypo. Last time we did that, things didn't go so well (See: whatever game it was with the Werewolves and mafia)

there's no point in hypo when we don't know if a cop is even in the game
cop should just out if they have an inspected mafia since a 1/1 trade (worst case scenario) is good in my opinion

Keanu this was your first actual post of the game and you just said "agreed" lol. We would prefer it if you gave your own thoughts about this initial stage so far (doesnt have to be about hypo).

This is a really small thing but although i appreciate McGinty encouraging scumhunting desperately, i just found it weird that it's only been like 5 posts into the game (which were shitposts) and you pointed them out saying that they havent done much. You aint lying but it felt unnecessarily desperate. Scummy intentions or not, i found it weird and i wanted to convey my thoughts.

I think that was legitimately the worst kill possible for mafia to make

If cop is alive, they should claim, and doctor should be on them for every night going forward. Clearing one townie per night is worth the townie we're going to lose each night as a result (unless the townie cleared is the one that dies, which will rarely happen if at all)

Claiming / a lack of claiming also answers which setup we're in.

Lol i dont really get why there's a setup with a mafia roleblocker and no townie power roles but oh well. Also the fact that A MAFIA ROLEBLOCKER only says "agreed" as if he doesnt even know that he has the most important mafia role in the game. On top of that the strange choice of nightkill where old man swamp didnt post a single useful post. (You can tell i am pretty disappointed lol, i wanted this to be a good game and not a pisstake).

Anyway i ma stop ranting and share what i think about the cop business. I'd rather play the game as if there is no cop existent, that way we dont have to rely on cop claims and also to not give an excuse to make the forum more inactive than it already is... We can scumhunt and I'll start you guys off.

I am gonna start with why i believe mcginty is town. Ignoring the fact he made a brilliant flukey lynch, he wouldn't lynch a mafia ROLEBLOCKER day 1 because that would be the dumbest decision ever for a few reasons. 1) He doesnt even know the setup so he needs the roleblocker in case doc or cop is on the loose and 2) he would put himself 1v6 disadvantage which means a cop only needs 1 mafia inspect and it's game over. From mcginty's posts i didnt feel like he was a stupid person. Plus it's not like he was forced, it's day 1 and he was probably one of the more active people so he can easily just lynch morrizon but he CHOSE to lynch what ended up as a mafia roleblocker. Of course it doesnt clear him but mcginty is low on the scummy list.

I think figuring out the reason behind the nightkill on old man swamp can narrow down the suspects by a lot because mafia made a mistake of targetting someone unexpected. This means he had a personal-ish reason or he isnt taking the game seriously which can be reflected in the posts themselves (eg morrison). But yeah, i seriously hope the activity is gonna be better than day 1 coz the activity in day 1 wasnt good.

Still waiting on a decent post from Morrison, Tierra, and Leona. I don't want Morrison lynched today because of his latest post. Towers seems to be having problems with being busy so I guess I would be happy to lynch Leona today.

Oh yeah Rita that setup is for situations like these, so we can't be 100% sure that there is a cop in the game
