Hajime, you should give us your opinions on some of the players. I'm sure there's enough text to at least have a read on some players, particularly Areal, Mason, Duplica, and me. Anything that you bring up can benefit us in the long run - for example, do you have any concern over Duplica bandwagoning my lynch on Bailey and making it sound like Bailey will for sure be lynched?

Its just general grouping, don't mind me. That is how I'm viewing it as =P

Also, did Satchel delete his post? I don't see it anymore.

This was what happened at the very beginning of the game. Satchel immediately gives a townread after literally one sentence. While what Mason stated is important, it is common procedure in all Mafia games, forum especially, to avoid quick lynches and thus actually discuss, taking advantage of the extended time that we have as compared to real-time Mafia. Therefore, I didn't see anything townworthy from Mason's initial statement alone. Remember that at the very beginning of the game, the ONLY players that definitely know who is town and who is scum is the scum itself, so Satchel's townread could possibly stem from his bias of already knowing that Mason is town, and Satchel could have been trying to gain towncred with his "early and correct" read.

Areal later offered a possible explanation for Satchel's read, which sounded like a buddying defense to me at first, though Mason and Areal later clarified that the stance was intended to be neutral. However, I still think that Areal speaking on behalf of Satchel when I was talking directly to Satchel seemed fishy.

That's my interpretation of the events, but I suggest you all read the discussion on the previous pages and formulate your own opinions. (Then preferably share with us!)

I didn't say Bailey get lynched was a foregone conclusion. Trying to get at least SOME reads will help the town. I MIGHT unlynch before the deadline, and I'm doing this to see how any possible active mafia might respond.

Yes, that statement alone doesn't give any help, but one shouldn't just think he is mafia for saying that. For Satchel, one could also say that he is mafia, and that he knows Mason is mafia, therefore giving a "Town" read. With the town credibility, IF Satchel was mafia and he gave a "Town" read on Mason and Mason flips Mafia, he could always just say that he has bad scumread skills.

However, all this bases on the fact that Satchel is mafia, and unless he says anything more, we can't (or can we?) assume that he is scum.

And as I said, I don't really have an opinion on what Mason and Areal right now, although it does seem that they are defending each other.

Regarding Satchel, you just gave an alternative scenario of how it would be beneficial, if Satchel was scum, to give Mason a townread. Of course, there isn't a whole lot to go on, which is why Satchel's response would be helpful - but that's why I'm just leaning towards him being scum, not necessarily entirely confident on that read. Hence why none of us have actually voted him either!

Right now, I'm really only random lynching. I have never played Forum Mafia before, so I have no real idea on how stuff works. But I got the gist of it.

For now, I'll wait for any reaction, whether scum or town.

Yeah no worries! I have never played a No Outside Contact Forum Mafia either, so I'm still adjusting to how to analyze only the posts in this thread rather than talking to people privately through PM.

Also, ajhockeystar could you please clarify the deadline. The previous vote count said May 5th the Tuesday - is it supposed to be Monday? Thanks.

Duplica is being sporadic, and, with her lynch on Baily, bandwagoning.

Also, we definitely need more people online. It is very possible that the mafia hasn't even come online yet, which would be hilarious considering that we have already had four pages of discussion about someone who hasn't said more than "confirming".

Lol yeah I feel you, Areal. Literally half of the game hasn't said anything game-related: Yuriko, Chaz, Bailey, Huromi, Hajime. Even Satchel, besides from his one statement that we are dissecting, hasn't been on.

I think AJ should remind people in the PS chat about this game because otherwise we might not actually have a game

Which would be really sad since we've already invested significant effort in this game. Unlike say, Medical Mafia lol.

Plurality applies. If the deadline was now, Bailey E. would be lynched.

I uh... wow. That's a lot of discussion (comparatively, anyways). Honestly, I get the activity vote on Bailey, but I don't understand why Duplica felt it was necessary to add on to that. There isn't really much for Bailey to be pro or anti town, given that she's posted.... once.

I don't think there was much else in the discussion that I needed to talk about, please tell me if I missed something so I can try and help out and say what my thoughts onthe matter are.

To add on to Mason's point, I understand that Jeanette started a lynch on Bailey because she said that she's a villy. However, I also question Duplica's vote since we should really discuss more.

Hopefully the others come online, and we can hear their perspective, especially Bailey.

I do think that Mason brings up a good point in the post above. Because this game specifically has no night phases and thus no opportunity for the Mafia to selectively kill off active members of the town, all players, especially town-sided members, should be actively participating. We can't get any reads on other town members if nobody speaks up, so I hope that the discussion won't stall (didn't jinx that, right?).

Yuriko, what is there to be confused about this early? If you need any explanations, I'm sure several of us here can help you - just ask!
